About Magnolia Moms and donation information (download Word Doc)

Dear Potential Donor,

Magnolia Moms is a dedicated group of 80 volunteer women through Our Lady of Fatima Parish that, for the last fifteen years, has networked together and pooled our talents to provide infant and child basics for homeless or displaced women and children. Magnolia Moms was originally formed to support the Catholic Community Services’ (CCS) at a “mother-to-mother” level, however, our outreach has grown beyond CCS to assist additional Seattle area women’s shelters and refugees.

Every year Magnolia Moms provides new and gently used cribs, highchairs, clothing, jackets, etc. for area homeless and refugee children. Over the past few years we have supported six shelters and have helped provide these basics to hundreds of women and children.

Weekly, we gather and deliver new and used baby items from diapers & wipes to clothing and cribs.  Annually, we supply several hundred children with warm winter jackets many living in shelters.  This fall we will provide 300 backpacks filled with age appropriate school supplies to area shelters.  In the spring we deliver 200+ Easter baskets for babies, children and mother’s containing simple hygiene products, toys and candy.  This spring project has been a wonderful opportunity to provide something other than the bare essentials.  Though the baskets are tied to Easter, recipients do not need to be of any religious affiliation.

The success of Magnolia Moms is directly related to the support from local merchants and businesses.  We would greatly appreciate any donations your organization could make towards our purchases of baby, child and mother necessities.   Thank you in advance for your consideration in support of our helping others in need.

Sincerely,
Pamela Greb
